In this basic class you will learn how to set up your machine for quilting and how to prepare your quilt top, The focus of this class will be free motion quilting. By the end of the class students should be able to free motion 2 or more stipple designs, outline a shape and stipple around it, and use a continuous line design
Supplies: (We carry all these supplies (except the straight stitch plate) at Quilt N GO)
Sewing Machine in good working order.
New Needle in machine - Sharp 75/11 or 80/12
Darning Foot for machine. This foot usually comes with the machine as part of the accessories.
Straight Stitch throat plate ( If you already have one.)
Thread: 2 different colors of 50wt thread and monofilament thread if you have it
gloves with a coating on the finger tips to give you "traction".
Quilt Sandwiches ( 4 ) 18" sq. consisting of top fabric, batting, and backing fabric
*Helpful if one of these fabrics is muslin so you can see through it to trace a design.
Safety pins about 1" long
Feel free to bring a snack/lunch!
