Dorene used the creative grids non-slip bowl cozy template set to make two sizes of bowl cozies as samples for the store.
Here are her thoughts on the templates:
"This is the second template I've tried, its a much nicer set. It's easier to follow and you don't have to worry about cutting the template like you do with other brands. I would recommend it to anyone! You can customize them to whatever you want. I made one out of basketball fabric!"
Make sure if you are making a bowl cozy (or anything that will be near hot dishes) you use a 100% cotton batting and thread! Other battings or threads may catch on fire or melt if you put them in the microwave or near hot dishes. We recommend the Pellon "Wrap-N-Zap" batting(yes we carry it!) and Aurifil thread.
Upcoming Block of the Months
This first one is called "Sentiments" by Kaye England.
It will cost approximately $35 a month (which does include the pattern!) and will run 10 months.
The size is a 97" square, a super queen
Will start in September of 2023
"Skittles" by Anne Marie Cheney is a 72" square BOM that will run for 12 months.
If you are interested in this one, let us know ASAP because this one starts in January of 2023
Cost is $22.95 a month.
"Color Crush" is a 6 month BOM that is PERFECT for beginners! If you are looking for a simple pieced BOM that helps you brush up on your piecing skills. Want to give it a try but are a bit intimidated? We would love for you to stop by and work on it with us at the shop if you want to! Just bring your machine and project :)
