Women’s buttons are not on the right side. Women’s buttons are sewn onto the left side of the garment, because buttons used to be very expensive and only wealthy women with domestic help could afford them. So to make it easier for the help to button up, they were on the ‘wrong’ side of the garment! Women's dress shirts today have buttons on the left, and Men's have them on the right.
Did you know?
We carry ground walnut shells! What do you use them for? Making pin cushions! Our walnut shells are ground very fine, and have bits of lavender in them as well for a lovely sensory experience while you sew. Pin cushions are easy, fast, and useful gifts to make!
We also have our glass fingernail files back in stock! Glass files are SO much healthier for your nails, and unlike traditional files they can be cleaned and reused for a long time with proper care!
We also have our collapsible fans back! These are great for this hot weather coming up. They collapse down fast and easily with a simple twist, and are small enough to be stored in a purse or even a pocket! They are extremely handy to have on you.
