It's been so cold lately I decided to work on some summer themed projects to brighten up my home. I found this free pattern online, and I thought I would share it for anyone else who longs for summer right now! The pattern is called "Watermelon Whimsy" by Lindsey Weight, and I think it is just perfect for brightening up my dining room on a grey cold day.
You can find this pattern online, or we can print it off at the shop for you for $3 to cover ink and paper costs. I think our watermelon fabric would be perfect on this, don't you? We even have a couple options for the outer border! Which is your favorite?
We get asked about our apron pattern a lot, so we spent a long time trying to find a comparable apron pattern for you, and I think we may have done it! This pattern is called "Easy-On Apron", and true to its name, its easy to put on! We figure if you leave the tie on the back off, it'll be just like our slip on aprons!

We are creating an interest list for this new Block of the Month called "Masterpiece". It starts in May of this year. We do not have a price figured out yet, but the quilt will be big! It is a 108" square.
Please remember the interest list does NOT mean you are signed up for "Masterpiece", it just gives us an idea of how much fabric we need to order, so if you think you might want to do this block of the month please let us know and we will put you on the interest list. When we get the price figured out, we will call each person on the list and verify if they are still interested.

Upcoming Classes!
If there is a technique that you are wanting to learn, please let us know and we'll arrange a class. Without feedback from you, we don't know what our customers want.
In this basic class you will learn how to set up your machine for quilting and how to prepare your quilt top, The focus of this class will be free motion quilting. By the end of the class students should be able to free motion 2 or more stipple designs, outline a shape and stipple around it, and use a continuous line design.

This is a technique class. Learn to set up your machine and prepare the applique shapes. Practice stitching inside and outside points, circles and curves. Enjoy working on any applique pattern after taking this class.

Students will make a 8" x 8" block made up of 4 paper-pieced squares forming a star flower. Learn a valuable skill to take your quilting to the next level! Paper piecing is a timeless art, and with Ruth's help you'll soon be on your way to mastering this talent.
