It's almost retreat season again! Are you signed up for April 2022 retreat? The dates this year are Wednesday April 20 to Sunday April 24. If you haven't been to the Quilt N Go retreat, let me tell you about it!
The retreat is held in Indiana, at the gorgeous Farmstead Inn in Shipshewana. Allergies? No problem! The Farmstead is smoke and pet free, and regular cleaning is done daily! Shipshewana is a beautiful town filled with culture and all the shopping you could ever do! They have something for everyone down in Shipshewana. All of your meals are taken care of starting on Thursday.
We get lunch and dinner catered by the renowned Essenhaus of Middlebury (yes, there WILL be dessert!), and the hotel provides a delicious buffet style breakfast to start your day. Eggs, bacon, and fruit anyone? Or are you more of a pancake person? Biscuits and gravy?
There is a swimming pool and a lovely hot tub to soak in after a nice day of shopping and sewing, two queen sized beds in each gorgeous spacious room (one for you, one for the hubby or roommate!) and we rent out the conference room as our sewing room, so it is nice and bright in there.
Don't worry about the safety of your machines or notions either, the conference room is locked every evening to protect your belongings, so you can get started right where you left off in the morning!
We also do assigned seating, so no more scrambling to sit with your friends! Just let us know who you would like to be sat with, and we will do our best to make it happen! Do you have difficulty walking or taking stairs? That is not a problem either! We will prioritize first floor rooms nearest to the conference center for you, just let us know and we will do our best to make your visit as comfortable and easy as possible for you(we also offer adjoining rooms or rooms near each other in case you want to visit friends! Just let us know!).

Upcoming Classes!
If there is a technique that you are wanting to learn, please let us know and we'll arrange a class. Without feedback from you, we don't know what our customers want.
In this basic class you will learn how to set up your machine for quilting and how to prepare your quilt top, The focus of this class will be free motion quilting. By the end of the class students should be able to free motion 2 or more stipple designs, outline a shape and stipple around it, and use a continuous line design.
This 5 week class taught by Ruth Dean will teach you everything you need to know to make your first quilt! She will cover tool selection, rotary cutting safety, fabric quality, pattern reading, and will package all the information in a nice booklet you can keep! PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A 5 WEEK COURSE, 3 WEEKS WILL BE IN-STORE WORK, 1 WEEK WILL BE HOMEWORK, AND THE FINAL WEEK WILL BE IN-STORE. You will be responsible for purchasing your class supplies(don't worry, we'll help you find what you need!) and will get 15% off all class supplies. Because of the amount of teaching, assistance, and questions for this class, to ensure everyone is able to get the help they need this class will be cut off at 4 people
March 26 Fusible Machine Applique $45 taught by Wanda
This is a technique class. Learn to set up your machine and prepare the applique shapes. Practice stitching inside and outside points, circles and curves. Enjoy working on any applique pattern after taking this class.
class cost includes a kit. Learn how to do hand applique the easy way with this technique class. No glue, no freezer paper, no templates!
Students will make a 8" x 8" block made up of 4 paper-pieced squares forming a star flower.
Wanda is an award winning quilter who has done her own one woman quilt shows, so we guarantee you are in good hands! Our class sizes are small, and on a first come basis, so if you are interested don't wait too long to sign up!
What's new at Quilt N Go? Fix N Zip! Fix N Zip lets you fix a zipper without tools, thread or needles! Just follow the simple illustrated directions included in the packaging, or go to their convenient web-site and watch their how-to videos. Kit comes with a Silver-tone zipper slider, Black cord, Black cord end, and Silver-tone ring. It can repair zippers with damaged or missing teeth, however we cannot guarantee that the slider will realign teeth in every situation. We carry the small and medium sizes.
