K Drive and Union City Rd/7 Mile Rd are going to be closing on June 13 for an indefinite amount of time.
- From the north come across B Drive S and then turn right onto 6 Mile Rd. Follow the deep S curve and the shop will be on the left.
- From the south (Sturgis) take M66 north to H Drive South and turn right. Turn right onto 6 Mile Rd and follow the S curve and the shop will be on the left.
- From Coldwater, take 11 Mile Rd (Now M311 north of M60) north and turn left on J Drive South. Continue west across 7 1/2 Mile Rd and it dead ends into 6 1/2 Mile Rd. Turn right and the shop will be on the right. Melissa drives in from this direction and will find the best route for y'all.
The side roads are all deplorable so please watch for potholes. And we can't begin to express how much we appreciate you driving out here to see us. We'll keep you updated on the status of the road as we get information.
Fun Sewing Facts
Thimbles were worn on fingers or thumbs, hence the Old English name "thymel," or "thumb stall."
The first thimbles were conical and fashioned from leather. Later, simple bands that left the fingertip exposed were also made — examples of these have been found in the Roman ruins of Herculaneum and Pompeii.
The English were making dome-shaped thimbles from the early 1500s.

If you are in the Masterpiece BOM
these are the wide backs we have available for your BOM. They are 118" wide, so you will need about 3.5 yards of which ever you choose. Because this BOM finishes as a 108" square, traditional 108" wide back fabrics will not be wide enough to back this. If you want to piece your back, you will need 10 yards of 44" wide yardage. This fabric is first come first serve, so let us know which you would like.
! New Kit Alert !
Our newest sample maker, Anita, worked really hard on this sample! It's her very first quilt, and isn't it just GORGEOUS?
If you're a fan of teals you have to come and take a look at the sample in person. As always, pictures do not do the fabric justice.
